If you love French Toast, you'll love this Hong Kong style French Toast! We made this simple dish for breakfast and it constantly has us craving for more. This is a classic dish served at Hong Kong style tea cafes aka Cha Chaan Teng. Given Hong Kong’s status as a former British colony, it was inevitable that Hong Kongers develop a western taste in foods. This influence kickstarted tea cafes.
For this dish - all you need is White bread, Peanut butter, Eggs, Butter, and Condensed Milk. Typically it's deep fried but we decided to pan fry it for an healthier option.

Ingredients
Serves: 1
2 slices Milk bread or White bread
1-2 Tbsp Peanut butter
1 egg, beaten
1 slice of butter
1 Tbsp Milk
Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 Tbsp canola oil for frying
Instructions
Spread the peanut butter onto 1 slice of bread then place the other slice on top.
Add 1 Tbsp of milk to beaten egg and mix well.
Dip the bread into the egg until all sides are covered once. Don't double dip or it will become soggy.
Heat 2 Tbsp of oil on medium heat. Pan fry the bread on all sides for about 1 minute each side until golden brown.
Transfer onto a plate. Top with a slice of butter and drizzle with condensed milk!
