Ingredients
Servings: 45 dumplings
1 lb minced Pork
12 fresh Shrimp, cut in thirds
1 egg
1 Tbsp Cornstarch
1 Tbsp Low Sodium Soy sauce
1 Tbsp Shaoxing rice wine
1 teaspoon White pepper
1/2 teaspoon Sea salt
1 teaspoon pure Sesame oil
1 package Wonton wrappers (we used Twin Marquis brand)
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well, cover the bowl, and allow to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours.
Refer to video below to learn how to wrap a wonton in several ways. Place 1/2 Tbsp of wonton filling in the center of the wonton wrapper. Always use water to seal the edges of the wrapper.
Notes
Twin Marquis has different types of wonton wrappers. We used the Shanghai style large wrappers; it holds more fillings and a bit thicker skin. It also doesn't have yellow food coloring in it.
If you want thinner wrapper, go for the Hong Kong style wonton wrappers (yellow in color).
Both styles are great for boiling, deep frying, and pan frying.
